How do I connect to the INSPEC?

Ensure that Bluetooth is enabled on your phone and that the lens cover has been removed. Power on the device by connecting the USB-C cable and adapter to a power outlet. Tap on the INSPEC module in the Lucid Scribe app. Once connected via Bluetooth, tap on the INSPEC icon to open the settings and configure the Wi-Fi connection under Network Settings to open the video stream: Enter the Network Name Enter the Security Key Enable Wi-Fi Ensure that the phone is connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Device settings are only synchronized when connected via Bluetooth.
Can the INSPEC detect REM sleep when facing away from the camera?

No. The camera should be placed so that your face appears right-side up, close enough that your face takes up the majority of the frame. It can be placed beside your pillow, on a bedside table, or secured above your head on the headboard to maximize the angles and positions from which your eyes can be seen.
What position should I sleep in?

Where should the IR spotlight be placed?

Place the infrared spotlight next to your bed and aim it at the roof or towards the wall you are facing. The reflected light creates a more balanced luminosity.
How do I focus the lens to sharpen the image?

Manually turn the lens clockwise or counter-clockwise to adjust the focus until the image becomes sharp. The lens ring can also be manually turned for further adjustments and to lock the focus in place.
How do I change the audio track?

Tap on the Audio Track setting and select an audio file that has been downloaded on your device.
How do I configure the LEDs?

Tap on the colored LEDs to enable them. The red, green, and blue LEDs can be combined to mix colors. When all LEDs are turned off, the INSPEC will not flash when rapid eye movements are detected. The delay between flashes can be configured by setting the Interval value. The amount of times to light up the LEDs can be configured by changing the Flashes value.
How do I configured the vibrations?

Enable the Vibrate setting to vibrate the phone when rapid eye movements are detected. Enable the Send Notifications to vibrate smartwatches when rapid eye movements are detected.
