First, make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone and the lens cover is off. Power up the INSPEC by connecting the USB-C cable to a power outlet. Open the Lucid Scribe app and tap on the INSPEC module. Once connected via Bluetooth, tap the INSPEC icon to access settings. Under Network Settings, configure the Wi-Fi connection: Enter the Network Name and Security Key, then enable Wi-Fi. Ensure your phone is on the same Wi-Fi network. Device settings sync only when connected via Bluetooth.

No, the camera needs to be positioned so your face is right-side up and fills most of the frame. Place it beside your pillow, on a bedside table, or above your head on the headboard to ensure it captures your eye movements effectively.

For optimal results, lie on your right side with your knees slightly bent for stability. If comfortable, rest your left arm along your side and place your right hand under your cheek or pillow. This position helps the INSPEC device accurately detect your REM sleep.

Place the infrared spotlight next to your bed and aim it at the roof or towards the wall you are facing. The reflected light creates a more balanced luminosity.

To sharpen the image, manually turn the lens clockwise or counter-clockwise until the image is clear. You can also adjust the lens ring for finer adjustments and to lock the focus in place.

Tap on the Audio Track setting and select an audio file that has been downloaded on your device.

To configure the LEDs, tap on the colored LEDs to enable them. You can mix red, green, and blue LEDs to create different colors. If all LEDs are off, INSPEC won't flash during rapid eye movements. Adjust the Interval value to set the delay between flashes and change the Flashes value to determine how many times the LEDs light up.

Enable the Vibrate setting to vibrate the phone when rapid eye movements are detected. Enable the Send Notifications to vibrate smartwatches when rapid eye movements are detected.
